In Russia, EGGER is represented by two facto-ries: in Gagarin, Smolensk Region and in Shuya, Ivanovo Region. The total number of employees at the enterpris-es is 900 people. The volume of EG-GER products manufactured in Russia is nearly 850,000 cubic meters of chipboard.

2. MAIN PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION
In order to save space, in 2016 at the plant in Gagarin, the 3-storey mezza-nine with an area of 150 m² was re-placed by 2 KARDEX Shuttle XP 500 automated vertical cabinets. This unique system solves the problem of small-piece goods storage by creating high-density storage in a small space. With a small base area, only 8 m², the cabinet allows the use of the entire room height (the cabinet height in this case was 7 m). It should be noted that due to its modular design, the Shuttle XP can be adapted to the required height, both before and after installa-tion; the number of dispensing win-dows can also be changed. Depending on the room height, up to 85% of the installation space can be saved com-pared to conventional storage systems.Project gallery
